Associate Attorney | Estate Planning, Probate & Guardianships | Jacksonville, FL
A growing Jacksonville law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team and build a long-term career in estate planning, probate, and guardianships.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newer attorney who wants hands-on mentorship, meaningful client interaction, and the opportunity to grow into a trusted advisor within a boutique practice.
Location: Jacksonville, FL Schedule: Fully onsite Experience: 0–2 years preferred
About the Role The Associate Attorney will support clients through estate planning and probate matters while receiving mentorship and training from an experienced team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and reviewing estate planning documents
- Assisting with probate administration and guardianship matters
- Supporting trust administration and special needs trust matters
- Participating in client consultations and learning to educate, advise, and guide clients through important decisions
- Managing case activity and client communication
Over time, this attorney will have the opportunity to take on increased responsibility, develop client relationships, and grow into a more independent practice role.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar license
- 0–2 years of attorney experience preferred
- Interest in estate planning, probate, and guardianships
- clear communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, energetic personality with a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, onsite environment

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $85,000–$100,000+ depending on experience
- Performance incentives tied to collectible hours and fees generated

Responsibilities
Role Responsibilities
The attorney will support matters involving:
- Estate planning
- Probate administration
- Guardianships
- Trust administration
- Will-based planning
- Special needs trusts
- Client consultations and advising
Approximate workload:
- 50% probate
- 50% trust/will-based estate planning and client advisory work
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Drafting legal documents
- Reviewing and redlining documents
- Advising clients
- Learning and managing client matters with mentorship and training
Systems: (if they have experience with either of these programs, or similar ones, I would highlight it.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Guidance: - Current Jacksonville market range for 0–2 year attorneys: $85,000–$100,000
- $105,000–$110,000will be considered for an experienced candidate
Bonus/Incentive Structure: - Billable hour goal: approximately 1,560 collectible hours annually
- Bonus eligibility tied to collectible hours (% will be discussed during interview)
- Attorney receives credit for hours worked plus 10% of collectible fees generated
- Additional compensation structure may apply for flat-fee matters depending on assigned work
