Human Capital Resources and Concepts (HCRC) is currently seeking qualified individuals with experience as a Construction Security Escort to support operations at a secure government installation.

Position Overview

The Construction Security Escort is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of a controlled construction site by escorting uncleared personnel, monitoring access, and maintaining compliance with all security requirements.

Work Environment
This position is located on an active construction site aboard a military installation . Candidates should expect:

  • A fast-paced, active construction environment
  • Frequent loud noise from heavy equipment, machinery, and construction activities
  • Raised voices and loud verbal communication among construction personnel due to equipment noise
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions while working outdoors for extended periods
  • Standing and walking for long periods throughout the workday

Applicants must be comfortable working in these conditions while maintaining constant situational awareness and adhering to all security protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain an unobstructed view of assigned construction areas to effectively control access and observe all personnel.
  • Escort uncleared construction personnel in accordance with government security requirements.
  • Verify identities and issue client-required identification and visitor credentials.
  • Monitor and oversee mail and package deliveries to the construction site.
  • Identify and immediately report security violations, suspicious activity, safety concerns, and emergencies.
  • Provide directions and informational assistance to employees, contractors, visitors, and guests.
  • Perform duties from a fixed security post and/or conduct roving patrols of construction areas, facilities, grounds, parking lots, and surrounding areas.
  • Remain alert to security risks and promptly report security, medical, fire, or other incidents requiring emergency response.
  • Observe and report fire hazards, unsafe conditions, and other potential risks.
  • Monitor security systems, including intrusion detection systems, CCTV, personal security devices, and fire/life safety systems, when applicable.
  • Control facility access by screening employees, contractors, and visitors; issue and document visitor passes; and maintain accurate visitor logs.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs and prepare written reports documenting incidents, security concerns, and daily operations.
  • Testify in administrative hearings and civil or criminal proceedings when required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience as a Construction Security Guard or Construction Security Escort
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while maintaining professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to maintain constant vigilance throughout the shift.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a loud construction environment .
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
