Foley editing is the art of editing the foley performance by an foley artist — footsteps, clothing, props and hand movements — perfectly in sync with the picture. These hand-made, human sounds bring characters and physical action to life in a way that library effects cannot. Every step, touch and rustle is thought of recorded and then edited to ensure sync to picture, adding character, realism and a tactile sense of presence to each scene.
